Mardi Himal Trek is the perfect short adventure for  breathtaking Himalayan views. This beautiful destination offers you spectacular mountain scenery . Not just this ,it  also makes you explore rich local culture, and peaceful trails which feels amazing to explore.

The journey begins in the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara and gradually climbs through rhododendron forests, terraced farmlands, and traditional mountain villages. 

As the trail gains elevation, the scenery opens up to reveal breathtaking views of Machapuchare (Fishtail), Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and other snow-covered peaks.  Along the way, you'll have the chance to meet Gurung and Magar communities. They are very hospitable. Here, you explore the  mountain traditions which adds a rich cultural dimension to the trek.

A  major highlight of this journey is reaching Mardi Himal Base Camp at 4,500 meters (14,764 feet) perfect for sunrise and the closest mountain views.

Day 01: Drive from Pokhara to From Kade (1706m /5749ft)- 45 minutes Take to Pitam Deurali (2150m / 7245ft) 3-4hrs
Day 02: Pitam Deurali to Forest Camp (2600m / 8762ft) -4-5hrs
Day 03: Forest Camp to High Camp (3550m / 11963ft) -5-6hrs
Day 04: Hike to Mardi Himal Viewpoint (4,200 m / 13,780 ft) and Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500 m / 14,764 ft), Return to High Camp (3,550 m / 11,647 ft) – 5 to 6 Hours  
Day 05: High Camp to Siding Village (2100m/7077ft) 4-5hrs
Day 06: Siding Village (2100m/7077ft) to Pokhara Drive 3hr

Route Map for Mardi Himal Trek

Your 6-day Mardi Himal Trek starts from  Pokhara. From there, you drive about 45 minutes towards  Kande (1,706 m).
The walk starts right away as you trek for 3 to 4 hours up to Pitam Deurali (2,150 m) through green hills and forests.

Then , you continue through denser woodland for 4 to 5 hours to reach Forest Camp (2,600 m).

Some days are longer and steeper. You even have to  climb 5 to 6 hours along ridge trails to High Camp (3,550 m)  where the first wide views of the snow-capped mountains appear.

The hike up to the Mardi Himal Viewpoint (4,200 m) and then to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500 m) feels physically difficult but worth it.
 After enjoying the close-up views of the Annapurna peaks, you return to High Camp the same day.

Then you descend. You walk downhill for  4 to 5 hours through forests and villages to Siding (2,100 m) which is  a traditional Gurung settlement.

On the final day you take a 3-hour drive back to Pokhara. This route takes you from the lakeside city of Pokhara up into the high ridges of the Annapurna region and safely back down again in six well-paced days.
